Tina Gibson, a 26 years old Tennessee resident gave birth to a baby girl from a donated embryo which was frozen for 24 years. To our surprise, it has broken the record of 19 years old embryo ahead of Virginia.

The baby Emma Wren was born on November 25 in Tennesse. Tina was born in 1991 and the egg from which embryo was frozen was fertilized in 1992. The mother was just one and half year old when the egg was frozen. I and Emma could have been best friends as the embryo from which Emma has born is 24 years old, said Tina.

Tina Gibson was 19 when she got married to her husband Benjamin who was 26 years old. The couple could not conceive the child as Benjamin suffers from cystic fibrosis, a genetic disorder that affects mostly the lungs, kidneys, pancreas, liver, intestine and may also result in infertility. So they planned to adopt a frozen embryo from the National Embryo Donation Center in Knoxville, Tennesse.

Doctor Jeffrey Keenan, who carried the embryo transfer said: “We hope this story is a clarion call to all couples who have embryos in long-term storage to consider this life-affirming option for their embryos”. The National Embryo Donation Center encourages people to donate those embryos to other couples who are unable to conceive.

We are very thankful and blessed. She is a precious Christmas gift from the Lord said, Tina.
