ZTE sub-brand Nubia is poised to unveil a lighter version of its flagship Nubia Z17 smartphone. Dubbed as "ZTE Nubia Z17 Lite", the device was spotted on GeekBench website. It's the second Nubia Z17 variant after Nubia Z17 Mini.
ZTE Nubia Z17 Lite with model number NX591J visits GeekBench website for pre-launch benchmarking and revealed major specifications of the device.
According to the listing, the ZTE NX591J phone is powered by an Octa core processor clocked at 1.4 GHz, built on Qualcomm Snapdragon 617(MSM8952) Mobile Platform(chipset). It's coupled with 6 GB of RAM and runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat based custom Nubia UI on top. So, even though it's a mini variant no compromise has been made in the under the hood specifications.
That's all we know about the device right now and since it's a Mini version it's quite easy to predict that it includes basic smartphones functions like Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi tether, Bluetooth v4.2, USB Type-C, USB-OTG and GPS support.
The device gets 1080 score in the single-core and 2921 in the multi-core test. The test was held on Geekbench 3.3.1 for Android AArch64 with upload date listed as July 20, 2017. Full benchmark results are available in the source link given below. Since the device has passed GeekBench, it will be announced very soon.
ZTE Nubia Z17 was announced in June first week and still isn't available outside China. ZTE has always delayed their devices availability from the time of the announcement.
Mini version of flagship devices is back in frames. ZTE does that very often and Samsung might be looking for something 'Galaxy S8 Mini' but the company dismissed any such rumors. LG also recently unveiled LG Q6, a G6 variant.
