The next stop in smartphone innovation might be foldable phone technology as Samsung has plans to launch long-rumored Galaxy X. Before it could, ZTE might take the pride of being the first company to launch a foldable smartphone.
All new ZTE Axon M aka Axon Multy could be a very first foldable phone and we might not have to wait longer for it as it could be launched next month at company’s October 17th event.
The rumored Axon M was spotted in live image spotted by folks at Android Authority and as per the source, ZTE foldable dual-screen phone could redefine how we think of mobile devices today.
Going through the rumored ZTE Axon M specifications, it sport dual full HD display, which folds out into a 6.8-inch display with 2160 x 1920 pixels resolution.
Earlier rumors from @evleaks revealed that it will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820(perhaps the latest 821) Mobile Platform coupled with 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB storage. It’s backed by a 3120 mAh Lithium-ion battery.
Quite surprisingly, the dual screens can easily display and accommodate two apps at the same time. That gives a new dimension to multitasking capabilities in the smartphone. This groundbreaking revolution could provide a true PC like experience.
The smartphone is expected to be the next game changer after the popularity of Google Tango and modular phones. But on the other side of the boat, several smartphone projects like 3D phones, bendeable phones are yet to hit the mainstream.
ZTE has scheduled an event on October 17th in New York and the company has sent out press invites for the event.
