ZTE Axon 7 Oreo update Now Rolling in United States

One of the most loved ZTE phone i.e., the ZTE Axon 7 has just got updated to Android Oreo. The dark horse of 2016, was just awaiting the latest software roll-out and it just happened today in the United States. It happens to be the second major update to the Marshmallow running device, which received the Nougat update in February 2017.

Just in December last year ZTE confirmed that Axon 7 will be updated to latest Oreo version and dates were announced to be April 2018 but the update happens to be rolling out pretty quickly considering the announcement. The wait is finally over and you shouldn’t be surprised because the update was expected.

ZTE actually hasn’t officially notified of this update but it looks like that some users in USA have already got it and let other knew about it at a community forum. Maybe it’s a beta release before the mass roll-out to public, which might happen in coming days.

If you own a ZTE Axon 7, then check for any update notification on your device. If it’s not available, you can alternatively check for latest update manually by going through Settings > About Device > Software and then tap on Check Now.

Apart from ZTE Axon 7, there are more than 75 smartphones and tablets are expected to get the Android 8.0 and 8.1 Oreo update. You can check out the full list here.

ZTE is probably looking to unveil Axon 7 successor, i.e., Axon 8 and it’s most likely to be unveiled at Mobile World Congress (MWC 2018) event which will be held from February 26 in Barcelona, Spain.
