Xiaomi has confirmed that they are hosting an event on June 12th to launch all new Redmi 6 smartphone after an impressive debut of Mi 8, Mi 8 SE and Mi 8 Explorer Edition at the eighth anniversary of the company on May 31st.
The Chinese smartphone maker has released an official poster on Weibo, the Chinese micro blogging site confirming the Xiaomi Redmi 6 Launch date.
The Xiaomi Redmi 6 happens to be the successor to Redmi 5 and it has got the whole lineup with it along with Redmi 6A, Redmi 6 Plus, Redmi 6 Pro and other variants coming up soon. The leaks of Redmi 6 and 6A were spotted in the month of May.
If there is something to go by TENAA, then there are three new Xiaomi phones with model number as M1804C3DE, M1804C3CC, and M1804C3CE, so we can expect the debut of atleast three phones on the day.
As per the listings, the Redmi 6 sports a 5.45 inch 1440 x 720 pixels HD+ display and sports a 18:9 aspect ratio.
Under the hood, it houses the Snapdragon 625 chipset and comes with Android 8.1 Oreo based MIUI 9.5 out of the box. It will get the MIUI 10 update after few months of it's launch.
