The Verizon’s version of Moto Z2 Force has been updated to Android 8.0 Oreo as revealed by Motorola a couple of days ago. T-Mobile, the second major US carrier has made a point to push the Android 8.0 Oreo update for Moto Z2 Force. Seems like other carriers like AT&T and Sprint would also be in the queue for the same.
An update with build number OCX27 is good if you owned a T-Mobile Moto Z2. The same was reported by XDA Forum.
The representative of T-Mobile was seen tweeting sometime back as- “The update looks pretty official, I don’t see any of our info updated yet but if everything is running smoothly I say keep using it. I am betting that we should be pushing the update out soon since the current phase is right before we officially push it. You just scored it early I suppose.:)”
The download would take some space and hence, the space that requires being available for the update of Android 8.0 Oreo is at least 2 GB. The phone Motorola Z2 Force if bought through Verizon Wireless gives a much better experience with the update of Android 8.0 Oreo.
The features and developments found in the update, include the picture-in-picture mode, enhanced notifications system, smart text selection, and many UI tweaks. Amazingly, with the Oreo update, the Z2 Force upgrades with adaptive notification dots, picture-in-picture, a new look for emojis, and overall faster performance. Also, as noted in the changelog, the update adds a new call screen to the Z2 Force.
The instructions from Motorola say that for a successful installation, the battery in your phone should be at least 50% charged and your device should be connected to a Wi-Fi network or LTE.
First, go to Settings then tap on About Phone and select Software Update, and it will automatically start downloading the latest update. The update will take around 10-15 minutes to get Installed on your device.
Again, T-Mobile has yet to confirm the update on its support website.
