A new version of Android i.e., Android 8.0 is currently under beta testing as the developer preview is already out. In a couple of weeks, it will get a name, i.e., a dessert starting with “letter O“. According to TechnosAmigos, it will be named as either Android Oreo or Android Oatmeal.
More than Android users, OEMs very much interested about it. Lenovo owned Motorola brand supports up to two years of the software updates and so all the Moto devices launched in 2016 and 2017 are bound to get the update. Apart from Android One handsets, Google devices, several flagship phones are eligible to get the Android 8.0 update.
Smartron, an Indian based startup company has announced that it’s SRT phone will receive the Android 8.0 update. The Smartron SRT phone product listing on company’s official website clearly states that about the latest Android update whenever available. The company is likely to send this update via Over the Air (OTA) and you will receive an update notification. Talking about the update available, no dates have been confirmed and it’s highly likely to happen next year.
The device runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box, which is the latest version of Android.
