While Google is on the verge of launching Android P version, still there are not many phones on Android Oreo. A lot of phones are selected to get the Oreo treatment but it’s slow roll-out process.

After successfully updating the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus last month, it’s time for Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge Oreo update, as it begins roll-out from today.

As of now the update is available for the unlocked users in the United Kingdom and just like all other devices it will be a gradual roll-out. AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint and other carrier locked Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge variants will get the upgrade later this month or by next month.

The latest Galaxy S7 Oreo update brings Samsung Experience version 9.0 to the table apart from several improvements which are included in the Android Oreo pack.

The update comes with firmware versions as G930FXXU2ERD5 and G935FXXU2ERD5 and also brings April Security path.

The update file size is of 1.2 GB and available for download via Over the Air. You can also check for manual update request by going through Settings > About Device and then tap on Software update.

Still several other Samsung Android phones are expected to get the Oreo update.
