Samsung on May 21st has announced a total of 5 handsets. Along with Galaxy S Lite luxury edition and the Galaxy J6 and J8 smartphones went officially, and also introduced Galaxy A6 and Galaxy A6+ smartphones which were launched earlier this month.
The rumored Galaxy S9 Mini is now officially as Samsung Galaxy S Lite Luxury Edition (SM-G8750) in China. It's a water-resistant handset that borrows design from the newly launched Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus. It's the Samsung phone that takes the fight with OnePlus 6.
Going through the Samsung Galaxy S Lite specifications, the handset comes with a 5.8-inch FullHD+ 2220 x 1080 pixels Super AMOLED Infinity display with 18.5:9 aspect ratio.
Under the hood, it's powered by an Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 Mobile platform coupled with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB inbuilt storage and runs on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box.
In terms of optics, the latest Galaxy S Lite phone has a 12 mega pixel camera with f/1.7 aperture, 1/2.55″ sensor size, OIS, 1.4µm pixel size. On the front we have a 8 MP auto focus front-facing camera with f/1.7 aperture, 1/3.6″ sensor size, 1.22µm pixel size, 80-degree wide-angle lens.
Going through sensors list, it has Accelerometer, Barometer, Fingerprint Sensor, Gyro Sensor, Geomagnetic Sensor, Proximity Sensor, RGB Light Sensor, Hall Sensor, Iris Sensor, and a Pressure Sensor. It's backed by a 3000 mAh battery with fast charging both wired and wireless.
The Samsung Galaxy S Lite Price in said to be $625 in China(4,000 CNY). It will be China-only smartphone as no plans were revealed of the global launch.
