Panasonic India has officially launched two new budget smartphone in the country. Named as Panasonic P85 & Panasonic Eluga Ray, will be available from May 15th exclusively through Flipkart, i.e., special devices for a special occasion of company’s tenth-anniversary celebration. There is also ‘Flipkart Big 10 Sale‘ starting from May 14 to May 18.
Both phones features newly launched proprietary Arbo Assistant and these two are not the first phone with new Panasonic AI as Eluga Ray Max & Ray X takes that pride. P88 is priced at Rs 6,499 and takes on Xiaomi’s Redmi 4A while Eluga Ray is retailing at 7,999 INR. Both the devices offer decent features for the price that they have.
Eluga Ray enriches the existing Eluga series of smartphones by Panasonic. Both phone sports a 5 inch HD IPS display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. While Eluga Ray is powered by 1.3 Ghz Quad-core processor with 3 GB/4 GB RAM, P85 is actually a trimmed version of it with 1 GHz Quad-core processor with 2 GB RAM.
Both the phones run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box and include 16 GB inbuilt memory with a micro SD card slot to expand the storage.
Eluga Ray has a better camera with 13 megapixel rear snapper with auto-focus and 5 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. P85 gets 8 megapixel snapper with 2 mega pixel front camera.
A 4000 mAh battery powers both the device offering decent backup upon normal usage.
Other features such as Dual SIM, 4G VoLTE support, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi tether, Bluetooth v4.0, GPS with aGPS, micro USB 2.0 are commonly found in every new entry-level smartphone these days.
