The much anticipated and the redefining Nokia Android phone is expected to launch soon. Dubbed as Nokia 8, the device could see the light of the day on July 31, 2017. It will be the first real flagship phone in the Nokia brand, licensed by HMD Global, the Finnish company.

A new leak from WinFuture.de reports that the Nokia 8 TA-1004 will be a flagship affair taking on Samsung Galaxy S8 and Google’s Pixel phone.

Sourced from Scandinavian retailer, it gives a rough estimate on Nokia 8 price as well. Price is Northern Europe is expected to be $675 USD, isn’t a bad deal by any means. That’s around $70 less than Galaxy S8 and $125 lesser than Google Pixel.

Nokia TA-1004 is in news for a couple of weeks now. It received the FCC certification, visited GeekBench and appeared on AnTuTu Benchmarking site. Leaks suggest that it will be available in two different models with 4 GB and 8 GB RAM but it looks like that the 4 GB RAM model will be made available at the launch event, which has a storage of 64 GB.

It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset with a dual camera setup on the rear and 5.3″ Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) display on top with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

HMD will throw a number of color variants with availability in Steel, Blue, Gold/Copper and Gold/Blue color choice.

Recently HMD Global inked an exclusive collaboration with Zeiss, through which imaging department will be handled by Carl Zeiss optical lens. Nokia 8 is unlikely to come up with it but upcoming phone might have it.

HMD Global earlier this year stated that they will launch 6-7 new Android phones in 2017 and they are well on course. They launched Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 phones earlier this year. Nokia 2, Nokia and Nokia 8 are expected to be up next.
