LeECO is preparing to launch a next-generation smartphone in the LePhone brand. A mysterious device with model number as "LePhone T26" has been spotted at TENAA passing through approval before it's launched in China.
The application was filed by Chongqing hundred Lifeng Technology Co., Ltd. on 16th November 2017. The listing on TENAA site shows the picture of LePhone T26 smartphone.
Interestingly, LeECO had previously launched LePhone T25 smartphone and all new T26 could be its successor. The T25 was launched in December 2016 and has a 5-inch display with 1280 x 720 pixels HD resolution and powered by quad core processor clocked at 1.3 GHz coupled with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of inbuilt storage. The storage can be expanded using a micro SD card in the card slot provided.
In terms of optics, it has 5 mega pixel rear and 2 mega pixel front facing camera combination and backed by a 2000 mAh battery. Going with LePhone T25 details, the LePhone T26 could be an entry-level smartphone. T25 ran on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system but the latest iteration could run with Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box or could go with either Android 7.1.1 or 7.1.2 version. But considering the fact that it's an entry-level smartphone, LeTV might consider going with Android 7.1.1 Nougat.
It's a TD-LTE smartphone and also compatible with LTE FDD and TD-SCDMA. No other details of the LePhone T26 exist on the web. These are the frequency bands of China for smartphones, so most probably it will be a China-only handset.
