Xiaomi is one of the most popular brands not only in China but also in the world now. All the Xiaomi made smartphones in the Redmi and Mi brand are shipped with proprietary MIUI skin. Just back in July 26, 2017 Xiaomi introduced MIUI 9 update. The latest version of the OS is planned for roll-out to a total of 36 devices and more devices were added a couple of weeks back. After the grand MIUI 9 global/China ROM roll-out it’s time for upcoming MIUI 10 update and before that, an intermediatory MIUI 9.5 will be rolled-out.
The MIUI 9.5 update will be launched before the MIUI 10 launch date in May/June 2018. Since the MIUI 9 global roll-out has already started and reached to a dozen of devices, the MIUI 9.x update is around the corner. Currently, as reported, MIUI 9.1.1 update is been rolled out but it’s nightly instead of stable.
Talking about the MIUI 9.5 features there might not be major features inclusion because it’s an intermediatory update. Most of the Android Nougat and Oreo features were included in the MIUI 9 skin. So, according to internal reports, MIUI 9.5 skin will bring bug fixes and minor improvements over the previous 9.1 version.
Coming to the list of devices, almost all the devices that have got the MIUI 9 will make it through the 9.5 update. Among the list we have Mi Note 3, Mi Mix 2, Mi A1, Mi Max 2, Redmi 5X(unreleased), Mi 6, Mi 6 Plus, Mi Mix, Mi 5S, MI 5S Plus, Mi Pad 3, Mi 5c, Redmi Note 4x, Redmi 5A, Redmi 4, Redmi 4 Prime and Redmi 4A. Sadly Redmi Note 4, the world’s most selling budget smartphone will not be updated to the 9.5 version. This list is not official but except.
Stay tuned for more updates on upcoming MIUI 9.5 and MIUI 10 update.
