Micromax Mobiles has officially launched Micromax Bharat 5 in India today. It’s a budget smartphone in the Bharat Series and fifth such devices to be announced in the sub-continent. With a price tag of Rs 5555, it takes of all the budget smartphones that are priced under Rs 6,000 in India.
Going through Micromax Bharat 5 specifications, the handset features a 5.2 inch 1280 x720 pixels HD display and USP of the device is the big 5000 mAh battery which is guaranteed to provide a two days battery backup. Now that’s completely in line with the HMD Global’s new launch of Nokia 2 smartphone which also offers 2-day battery life on normal usage with 5000 mAh battery capacity.
Under the hood, the device is powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 1.3 GHz coupled with 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB inbuilt storage and expandable storage of up to 64 GB using microSD card slot.
This 4G VoLTE handset runs on Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box and comes with 5 megapixel camera on either side. Both cameras have a LED flash.
The Micromax Bharat 5 price in India is said to be Rs 5,555 and available through leading retail stores offline in all cities and towns of India. Micromax has set a target to sell nearly 6 million of Bharat 5 units by March 2018.
Further, Micromax during the Bharat 5 launch made it clear that they will launch Bharat 5 Plus and Bharat 5 Pro smartphones within 4-6 weeks.
