Lava Corporation Ltd has planned to launch a new smartphone dubbed as “Lava Z60“. It was spotted passing through GeekBench very recently. It’s an upcoming Lava mobile in the ‘Z Series’.
While passing through GeekBench 4.1.0 test, some of the major Lava Z60 specifications were revealed. Although no information is available on the display screen size it will be running on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. That’s an interesting thing to look at because, not even the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, best selling phone of Q1, 2017 runs on an older Marshmallow operating system version.
Many phones still run on older Android 6.0 Marshmallow and recent Android distribution statistics says that only 11% devices are running the latest Android 7.0 and 7.1 Nougat OS. The upcoming Android 8.0 i.e., the Android O version is currently in the development stage and Lava Z60 will not receive that update.
The Z60 is powered by a Mediatek MT6737M processor coupled with 1 GB of RAM. The device scored 444 in the single-core test and 1243 in the multi-core.
According to GeekBench listing, the device looks to be an entry-level Android Nougat phone. You can further have details look on GeekBench report at Primatelabs. So, in terms of storage we might have 16 GB memory and it will be a dual SIM handset with SIM 1 supporting 4G VoLTE connectivity.
Currently, in the Lava Z Series we have Z25 still retailing at Rs. 18,000 with 4 GB RAM, Octa-core processor, 13 mega pixel camera and metal constructed body.
