Huawei P20

After the success of P9 and P10 series, there is a high degree of anticipation from Huawei in the Pxx series of smartphones lineup. A new Huawei P20 rumor has just surfaced, claims that the upcoming flagship Huawei phone will be launched before the year end, possibly during the Christmas. The source TheLeaker, also claims that Huawei has filed a trademark for the same device.

Huawei P20 trademark

This is the first such news about Huawei P20 phone and according to Weibo(Chinese social network), it will be an improved variant of Huawei P10 Plus phone. Sporting a 5.7 inch Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) curved display, it will ship with proprietary Kirin 960 chipset with an Octa-core processor assembly. In a bid to compete OnePlus 5, it will be available in two different variants – one with 6 GB RAM and other with 8 GB RAM.

Huawei’s upcoming Kirin 970 chipset is expected to release at the end of the year and if everything goes as planned, it could be included in the P20 & P20 Plus phone. It’s backed by a 4000 mAh battery and runs on Android 7.1 Nougat based proprietary EMUI UI.

The job of manufacturing Huawei P20 Camera is assigned to Leica Camera AG, a company popular for manufacturing camera lens. A big size P20 Plus phone is also expected to join the Huawei P20 launch date.

Talking about the Huawei P20 release date, the P10 and P10 Plus were unveiled at Mobile World Congress held earlier this year. So, a December launch window will separate both the devices at least by 10 months, an ideal gap for OEM to have a new flagship phone launch.

Before it launches, there will be a number of leaks about the device and we will keep a track on its initial benchmark at GFXBench, AnTuTu and even any other info as it happens.
