From a huge success in India and Indonesia, the Android One phones did live up to users expectations but not many phones came into the market in 2017. Lately, we have Google once again speeding up work with Android One phones. Infact this time, they have expanded Android One program to popular destinations like the United States. The Motorola Moto X4 is rumored to be first Android One phone for USA market. Recently Xiaomi Mi A1 was unveiled in India.
Joining the new wave of Android One handsets, there will be HTC Android One phone by name U11 Life. The HTC U11 Life specifications have been leaked and it's said to sport a 5.2 inch 1080p full HD display. It will be a mid-range smartphone, just like the Mi A1.
It's expected to feature 16-megapixel image sensor on the front as well as on the back. Under the hood, there is Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 chipset backed by a 2600 mAh Lithium-ion battery.
HTC U11 Life will be available in two different models variants of 3 GB RAM with 32 GB storage and 4 GB RAM with 64 GB onboard storage.
The U11 Life is expected to be an IP67 certified water and dust proof resistant handset running on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. It's expected to get the upcoming Android P and Android 10 upgrade because any Android One smartphone supports software update up to 24 months and Android 9.0 will be released in May 2018, so will be the Android 10 Q in 2019.
So, this is why Google is investing a lot in the HTC, a Taiwanese smartphone giant, which was a popular seller in the United States and Canada, a decade back.
There is no word said on the pricing and availability but it's expected to be priced at $399. That's an expensive Android One phone.
