The Android Oreo effect has already started being seen. HTC has confirmed that some of its handsets will get the Android Oreo update. The Taiwanese smartphone maker confirmed that HTC U11, HTC U Ultra and HTC 10 will get the Oreo update by the end of the year.
Following the Google event on 21 August, the company announced the Android 8.0 name as ‘Android Oreo’ putting an end to long rumors of Android 8.0 version name.
An official tweet on Tuesday saw HTC USA replying to a user query by saying, “We’re excited to bring Android Oreo to HTC U11, HTC U Ultra, and HTC 10 owners worldwide! Details & additional devices to be announced soon.”
To get rewind of the launch, HTC launched its U11 smartphone in India at a price of Rs. 51,990 (MOP) with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
The feature ‘Edge Sense feature’ pulls the crowd as it allows users to perform various functions with the handset by simply squeezing it from the sides.
HTC recently added an ability to record 1080p resolution at 60fps and support for Bluetooth 5.0 with the latest update to the HTC U11 smartphone through a software update.
The company also added the Amazon Alexa Assistant support to HTC U11 in the US. Since Amazon Alexa has not been launched in India yet, the functionality is not supported on Indian models of the handset.
More like any other introduction phase, the Android Oreo has also its own allocations and the smartphone companies have made their effect to prove the compatibility accordingly. HTC is expected to be like hard ‘enamel’ which would prove strong and serve the source the best output accordingly. The features encased in Android Oreo is an advantage to its adaptation with the compatible mobiles.
