As Huawei’s sub-brand Honor turns three years old now, the company has unveiled much awaited Honor 9i smartphone in India through an exclusive event in Goa today. It comes after the global launch of Honor 9 phone and takes on mid-to-high range smartphones like OnePlus 5, newly launched Nokia 8 and Moto Z smartphones.
The Honor 9i sports a metal unibody design with a display screen size of 5.9-inch with stunning Ultra High Definition FHD+ display providing a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. It’s the first Honor phone with Full View display, something like Infinite Display found on newly introduced Samsung flagship phones.
The Honor 9i display is with 18:9 aspect ratio, which was made famous by the revolutionary Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. It has 83% screen to body ratio, means that it has less-bezel size to accommodate big size display although the phone size remains same as that of any 5.5 inch phone.
Under the hood, it’s powered by proprietary HiSilicon Kirin 659 chipset build on Octa core processor and packs a 3340 mAh battery. It has 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB onboard storage with a micro SD card slot and dual SIM support.
The USP of the latest Honor phone remains it’s camera capabilities. It has 16 MP + 2 MP rear camera and 13 MP + 2 MP front facing camera assembly. It helps to capture depth of the field for bokeh effect which is truly stunning like DSLR cameras. You can even manually adjusts bokeh levels and has several modes like Panorama, time lapse, slow motion and others.
The Honor 9i price in India is set at Rs and will be available in three colour options of Aurora Blue, Prestige Gold and Graphite Black. It will be available exclusively on Flipkart.
