Asus ZenFone 3

Goods & Services Tax (GST) has resulted in positive news for customers. Prices of several items are now slashed and mobile phones have received a huge price drop, after all it falls under 12% GST rate. Prices of ‘imported smartphones’ has been slashed by atleast 5% to 10%, thanks to reduction in import duty from 27% VAT to 12% in GST. Apple announced a price cut on its devices, Asus has come on board to follow the hierarchy as of now. It is reported that Asus has cut the prices for some of its mobile phones for an amount close to Rs. 3000.

Sources reveal that the company has not confirmed the news outwardly. Reports, however, said the retailers who deal Asus phones have been told by the company to revise the prices of some of Asus phone models.

The phone model Asus ZenFone 3 (ZE552KL) costs at Rs 16,999, which is declined from Rs 19,999. It was launched at a price tag of Rs 27,999. ZenFone 3 has features like 5.5-inch Full HD (1080p) display. Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor handles CPU unit coupled with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. It also has 16-megapixel rear camera and 8-megapixel front-camera. Apart from all these features, it houses a 3,000 mAh battery.

Another phone of Asus, ZenFone 3 (ZE520KL) is available for Rs. 15,999 instead of the price earlier stated as Rs 17,999, price down by Rs. 2000. This model of Asus was priced at Rs. 21,999 in 2016. The phone includes 5.2-inch Full HD (1080p) display, Snapdragon 625 processor, 3 GB RAM, 32 GB storage, and a 2560 mAh battery.

The next phone of Asus phone series with the reduction in price is Asus ZenFone 3 Max (ZC553KL). It’s available for Rs 14,999 instead of Rs 15,999 from July 1. Its launch price was Rs 17,999 with a 5.5-inch display has a battery backup of 4000 mAh battery. Powered by Snapdragon 430 processor with 3 GB of RAM, the internal storage was found to be 32 GB. Other features include 16-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front shooter.

Asus ZenFone 3S Max has not been left behind when considering the fact of price cuts. It was launched for an amount of Rs.14,999. After the price slash, it would cost at the retails for an amount of Rs 12,999. The phone is powered by MediaTek 6750 octa-core processor and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat. There is a 5.2-inch HD display on the phone along with a 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage. It also has a rear camera with 13-megapixel and LED Flash along with the PDAF. It sports the front camera which is of 8-megapixel. The phone is backed up with the 5,000 mAh battery.

All of the fear among the crowd that was preceding GST has slowly reduced with news such as this one. Waiting for more updates on this would be a mere audience’s response.
