Gionee F205

After the 18:9 aspect ratio in smartphones was made famous by Samsung, many manufacturers are launching smartphones with that form factor. Gionee might not be the first Chinese smartphone vendor to unveils a smartphone with 18:9 form factor but it has definitely surprised us by adding more than half a dozen of such phones with trending display. Today company added 5 new smartphones and all those are with the new form factor. The five new devices launched are Gionee F205, Steel 3, M7 Plus, F6 and flagship S11 and S11s smartphones.

The Gionee S11 and S11s are the two flagship devices. Just like HTC U11, both devices have glass display with a reflective finish. The S11 packs a 5.99-inch display while S11s has 6.01 inch AMOLED display panel. Gionee S11s is powered by a MediaTek Helio P30 processor with 6 GB RAM and 64 GB built-in storage while S11 is backed by an Helio P23 processor with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB onboard storage.

In terms of optics, the Gionee S11 has 16 MP + 8 MP dual front camera and 16 MP + 5 MP rear-facing camera while S11s has 20 MP + 8 MP front and 16 MP + 8 MP rear dual camera setup.

Gionee S11s is priced at $499 while smaller brother S11 costs $273. Both devices run on Android Nougat based Amigo OS 5.0 and pack a bunch of new features.

The Gionee F6 sports a 5.7 inch 1440 x 720 pixels HD display with Snapdragon 430 processor paired with 3 GB of RAM with 32 GB expandable storage under the hood. It has 13 MP + 2 mega pixel dual rear cameras and a single 8 mega pixel front facing camera. Its backed by a 2970 mAh Li-ion battery and runs on Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box. It’s priced at $197 and available in Gold, Star Blue and Black color variants. You can pre-order it from the company’s official website.

Gionee Steel 3 is yet another metal phone launched today and it sports a 5.5-inch HD+ display. Just like its predecessor it has AAC 511 speakers on the back for loud and clear sound. It’s powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB storage and backed by a 4000 mAh battery. It’s priced at $212.

Gionee F205

The Gionee F205 comes with a 5.45 inch display sporting a full metal body design and runs on Android 7.1 Nougat. It’s backed by a MediaTek’s MT6739 quad core processor supporting dual VoLTE. In terms of cameras we have 8 mega pixel rear snapper and 5 mega pixel front facing camera and gets a 2670 mAh battery which lasts for a day of moderate usage. F205 is priced at $205 and it’s available in Gold and Red color variants.
