This July Flipkart, the largest eCommerce giant in India has announced its new brand Billion. The brand has geared up to launch its new smartphone Billion Capture+ or simple called the Billion Capture Plus phone. The Billion is a self-brand, just like YU Televentures as operated by Micromax Informatics and it will be selling many products especially in the Indian market. Flipkart is India’s home-grown e-commerce site has planned to capture 7-8 percent of the smartphone market by Q3 2018.
A page has been unveiled by the Billion brand to promote the new smartphone and for confirming the device features. The device will hold a dual camera on the back with dual-tone LED Flash and that will be the USP of the first Flipkart’ smartphone. Some of the other camera feature includes Bokeh effect and super night mode. The device will also support fast charging.The Billion capture+ smartphone will run on Android 7.1.2 Nougat and it has been confirmed by company officially that it will receive the Android 8.0 Oreo update, the latest software build by Google for Android mobile OS.
Billion Capture+ smartphone will be priced at ₹ 10,999 for 3 GB RAM model with 32 GB storage and Rs 12,999 for 4 GB RAM variant with 64 GB inbuilt storage. The device will go on sale in Flipkart on November 15, 2017 and no need say that it will be Flipkart’s exclusive.
A range of products Billion brand has promised to manufacture is mixer grinders, irons, cookware appliances, backpackers. The brand confirms that there are 130 service centers in 125 cities across India. All the products sold by Billion brand will be manufactured in India.
This is not the first time Indian E-commerce giant has launched the hardware it has previously launched Digiflip Pro series of tablets in 2014.
