Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has certified BlackBerry Krypton, a new BlackBerry mobile handset made by TCL. Only a couple of months back the device received Bluetooth certification, followed with Wi-Fi certification last week.

The BlackBerry Krypton is a new full touchscreen handset and based on the rumors it will be a high-end smartphone. It’s expected to carry a screen with 1920 x 1080 pixels full HD(High Definition) resolution. Under the hood, we might find the 4 GB RAM assisting the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset or the newer SD-626. It’s the latest 64 bit Octa core chipset build on a 14 nm architecture.

Further digging into rumored BlackBerry Krypton specifications, it has a fingerprint scanner embedded inside the home button and a 4000 mAh battery keeps the light on the device.

The Krypton might not be the final name of the device as it maybe an upcoming BlackBerry Android phone name assigned during the internal testing. Tech experts predicts that it could be the next model in the DTEK series. We have already seen the DTEK50 and DTEK60 launched, is it DTEK70 or DTEK80?

The FCC documents suggests four model number of the device: BBD100-1, BBD100-2, BBD100-3 and BBD100-6. The BBD100-2, one of the four variants was listed on Wi-Fi Alliance.
