BlackBerry Keyone has done enough to qualify for having a successor and BlackBerry Athena might be the one. Overall 850,000 units of KEYone were sold until now and it's the right time to have a successor.
Apparently, the device will be named as BlackBerry Athena or BlackBerry Keyone 2 or BlackBerry Keyone (2018) or simply BlackBerry KEY2 is not known yet.
Just like it's predecessor, the new BBF100-4 is equipped with QWERTY keyboard and above it is the touchscreen display with 3:2 aspect ratio. That's pretty similar to its predecessor and so it's safe to assume that it will have similar or upgraded specs than Keyone.
The BlackBerry BBF100-4 leak shows the device with a 3.5 mm audio jack and a USB Type-C port.
According to the latest leak, the device is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset coupled with 6 GB of RAM and runs on Android 8.0 Oreo.
