Mobile World Congress is one of the biggest technology event primarily focused on mobile technology and other gadgets. A lot of Android Oreo Phones were launched at MWC 2018.
The Samsung Galaxy S9, Galaxy S9 run the Oreo based Samsung TouchWiz user interface for the first time out of the box. Similarly, HMD Global with their almost stock like Android version will have the Oreo treat with their Nokia 8 Sirocco and Nokia 7 Plus smartphone. Nokia 1, their entry-level and Android Go phone which is set to launch in the first week of March will also run on Android 8.1. Nokia 8 2018 and Nokia 7 Plus will also get the Android P update.
Last year at the same event, many companies introduced smart phones with Android Nougat out of the box, when it was considered a new version of Android and only Google Pixel, Pixel XL and few handsets used to run on 7.0 Nougat.
As of now, only 23 smartphones run on Android Oreo and the update is expected to arrive to not less than 70 smartphones models worldwide. Among them are the Google Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel 2, Pixel XL 2, Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8 Plus, OnePlus 5T, OnePlus 5, OnePlus 3, OnePlus 3T, Honor V10, Nokia 6, Kyocera S2, Nokia 8, Honor 9 Lite, Xperia XZ, Moto X4, Xiaomi Mi A1, Honor 8 Pro, Huawei 6P, Nexus 5X and Sony’s latest phone, Xperia XZ was the first non-Google smartphone to run on Oreo out of the box.
