After the fall of Buttler, RPS bounced back to remove to Nitish Rana cheaply and Parthiv Patel was bowled by Washington Sundar as Mumbai were reduced to 60 for 3 in 10 overs. Rohit Sharma took the charge as he scored 58 off 39 balls and brought the equation to 17 required off the last over but Unadkat bowled beautifully to shift the game to Pune’s favor. Ben Stokes won the Man of the Match award for his million dollars performance giving away only seven runs in the penultimate over.
Finally, a much-needed win for RPS to stay in the competition. After struggling start this season, they needed back to back wins and they have done it in style with three win in a row – first defeated RCB, then won against defending champions Sunrisers Hyderabad and now Mumbai Indians.
