Samsung Galaxy C7 2017 SM-C7100 gets TENAA Approval

It’s a long time since Samsung has unveiled a smartphone in China. Chinese smartphone OEMs are doing so good that they are out-performing Samsung and LG, the two South Korean smartphone giants.

A new Samsung Galaxy C7 2017 gets TENAA approval, a mandatory requirement to sell smartphones in China. The device is been news since a couple of weeks and it’s only now that we see this handset taking a step towards an official announcement.

The TENAA listing reveals some of the major Samsung Galaxy C7 2017 Specifications. It sports a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display with 1920 x 1080 pixels full HD resolution. The device as expected features a dual camera setup on the rear side.

So quickly it will be the fourth Samsung dual camera phone. It comprises of 13 mega pixel + 5 mega pixel dual camera sensors on the rear side and 16 mega pixel front facing camera. The device runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box and is expected to arrive in two variants – 3 GB RAM with 32 GB storage and 4 GB RAM variant with 64 GB built-in storage.

Further, the device weighs 178 grams and has 152.4 x 74.7 x 7.9 mm dimensions (7.9 mm thickness).

According to the listing, the device is equipped with 2,850 mAh battery, which is reduced from 3,300 mAh from its predecessor. It’s a known fact that TENAA approval although reveals major specs, but it doesn’t guarantee that the device will launch with same internals. It’s predecessor, Galaxy C7 2016 sports a 5.7 inch Super AMOLED display, 4 GB RAM tagged with Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, 16 mega pixel and 8 mega pixel camera on the rear and front side, respectively.

Numbers-wise, it’s successor to last year launched Samsung Galaxy C7 2016, which didn’t have dual camera setup.

With TENAA approval, the could be launched anytime in China. We might not have to wait for weeks now and it could happen before Galaxy Note 8 is announced on August 23.
