Raajakumara becomes the Highest Grossing Kannada Film ever

Leaving behind Kirik Party & Mungaru Male (Rs 50 Crore), Raajakumara becomes the highest grossing Kannada film, earning a total of Rs. 75 crore ($12 million USD) till now. It was released on 24 March 2017 and still running successfully in over 40-45 theaters across Karnataka.

The film also became the first Kannada film to complete more than 7000 shows in multiplex within three months of its release. The movie complete 100-day theatrical run in over 50 centers across Karnataka state and it’s expected to reach Rs. 100 crore collection within a couple of days.

Raajakumara is directed by Santosh Ananddram and produced by Vijay Kirangandur. Power Star Puneeth Rajakumar and Priya Anand are in lead roles. The movie includes some of the superstars Ananth Nag, Prakash Raj, Sarath Kumar, Chikkanna, Chitra Shenoy and much more.

The movie is wholesome complete family entertainer which includes family values, humanity, the social issues and it’s a full musical entertainer. It scenes will surely make your heart cry but they soon dry out too. If family sentiment is your preferred mode of entertainment then Raajakumara is the right choice.

The makers of the movie have planned a grand event on completion of 100 days of the movie. Karthik Gowda, the executive producer of Raajakumara said: “we have invited luminary from Kannada Industry and yes its is the special occasion for everyone.”

Priya Anand plays the role of a Salsa dancer who is bold and strong. Making her debut with Raajakumara in Kannada film industry she said I love speaking Kannada and working with Superstar Puneeth was such a learning experience. She added “The worst was that I had to teach Puneet how to do salsa dance, which is the ridiculous thing. Everyone knows what an amazing dancer he is. But, I really enjoyed myself.”

Priya Anand is also part of Bollywood film Fukrey’s sequel Fukrey Returns, set to release on 8 December 2017.
