Osmania University Website Crashed as it announces Degree Results 2017

Osmania University today (May 31) announced the results of degree students who appeared for the conducted in April and March 2017. The results are available on the university’s official website but the site remained unavailable for access. Since 12 noon on May 31, the site got crashed due to heavy traffic and it was down for more than 3 hours.

All the students who were in undergraduate course, i.e., Osmania students studying Degree 1st, 2nd and 3rd year in BA, B.Com and B.Sc courses all visited the website to check the results. The results were for both regular and supplementary candidates and according to official statement, the results are available for access through Results section on the official site. It was scheduled to release on May 20 but it was postponed until May 31.

Osmania University was established in 1918 and it’s the third oldest university in southern India. This is not the first time that Osmania university official site has crashed. Everytime when the result of exam is announced, the site gets crashed.

Student ever since they know about results availability, they open Osmania university site and they have to wait for hours to know their results. It’s sad to see that such reliable websites aren’t are able to handle the load of degree students of Telangana state only. Many students trolled University for keeping them wait for long hours.

Not only Osmania University, it’s the case with every other institution as whenever there is announcement of results, the site get’s crashed. It’s depends on servers and it looks like that these institutions. These servers aren’t high speed and cannot handle burst of visitors at an instance.

Also in the case of Osmania University no alternate arrangements were made to make results available on more portals although it was available on Manabadi, Schools9 and sites.
