After speculations and few certifications, Oppo Mobiles has officially launched all new OPPO A5 smartphone. It’s the latest mid-range phone for the Chinese market and could be making a way to the Indian markets too. It’s primarily a successor to Oppo A3 which was announced earlier this year. The highlighting feature of OPPO A5 is the long lasting battery which promises to provide 11 hours of non-stop gaming or 14 hours of video playback.
Going through the OPPO A5 specs, the device comes with a 6.2-inch HD+ 19:9 display and comes with a top-notch and 87.8% screen to body ratio. Under the hood, it’s powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 with 4 GB of RAM.
Oppo A5 in India is launched as Oppo A3s and comes with degraded specs like 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB inbuilt memory.
Coming to the optics, it comes with a dual camera setup on the rear side with a 13 mega pixel image sensor and a secondary 2 mega pixel camera for the portrait shots. There is also an 8 mega pixel front facing camera for the selfies with AI Beautify feature which intelligently recognizes 296 facial features.
It runs on ColorOS 5.1 based on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. Dimensions include 156.2 × 75.6 × 8.2 mm and weight 168 gram. It includes features like Dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS, and USB OTG connectivity.
It’s backed a 4230 mAh built-in battery and available in Mirror Blue and Mirror Pink colors.
Oppo A5 Price in China is set to 1500 Yuan (Rs. 15,530 or US $225) and will go on for sale from July 13th from the official Oppo China site. You can pre-order it right now.
