OnePlus 5 OxygenOS 4.5.8 update
After 4.5.7 software update release last week, OnePlus has released OxygenOS 4.5.8 update to its flagship OnePlus 5 phone.
The update happens to be an incremental update bringing few new additions. It’s pushed to OnePlus 5 users only. The prime reason for this update roll-out happens to be the failure of previous 4.5.7 update, which was ultimately withdrawn and fixes to bugs found in the previous version.
Going through OxygenOS 4.5.8 features, the new OTA update brings the following –
OnePlus Slate font: All new OxygenOS update brings OnePlus Slate font to OnePlus 5.
EIS Camera Support Added: It also brings the EIS support to the camera, which allows users to record 4K videos.
It brings the Android security patch level to 1st July 2017.
Optimizations: Standby battery and Wi-Fi connectivity improvements.
Bug Fixes: The 4.5.8 OTA brings the follow bug fixes to OnePlus 5 device –
(1) Fixed occasional sound leaks in the speakers when using earphones
(2) Fixed camera shutter sound bug in silent mode for Indian region
(3) Fixed occasional stutters when playing games
(4) Fixed battery drain for Jio users
This update to OnePlus 5 will be rolled out in a phase-wise manner. It will be available to a limited number of users today and the mass roll-out will happen in a few days.
The update is rather small consuming just 49 MB size.
