Last year HMD Global surprised us with an announcement of Nokia 6 in China and it looks like that the Finnish smartphone giant is expected to do the same this year. It’s time to talk about the 2018 edition of the Nokia 6 which will be unveiled sooner than expected.
The Nokia 6 2018 phone which has passed the Chinese regulatory authority agency TENAA, might be launched on January 5th. The latest information comes from one of the largest retailers in China that the phone will be first available in the Chinese mainland and will be available in other countries later, much like the last year surprise unveiling. The actual availability will happen in the second half of January so the latest developments are bit surprising as you might know the edge of the globe has a thing for releasing certain Nokia models in China for their global premiere.
This approach gives us a very good idea of what to expect in the following months. If history repeats itself we should see a global announcement of the Nokia 6 2018 at MWC 2018 in February.
The new Nokia 6 is expected to pack a 5.5-inch Full HD screen with the standard 16:9 aspect ratio. Some of the main specs of the handset are Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 series chipset or atleast Snapdragon 630 coupled with 4 GB of RAM. A steaming of 16 mega pixel main camera and 13 mega pixel front facing camera forms the camera compartment while it has 64 gigabytes of internal storage and a 3,000 mAh power battery.
HMD Global has scheduled an event on January 19th in Beijing, China and it’s expected to either unveil Nokia 9 smartphone. But in a recent couple of days, Nokia 7 Plus and Nokia 6 2018 models have surfaced online. Further in March, HMD Global is expected to launch the first Android Go smartphone.
