There has been a lot of rumors about the launch of Xiaomi Mi 7 and finally, the date has arrived. The China-based company has declared to launch the smartphone on February 15, 2018, which contradicts the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2018) launched as expected earlier by many experts. The device was spotted in leak photos a couple of days back.
Under the hood, the device will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC with availability in two different variants of 6 GB and 8 GB of RAM. The device will be packed with 32/64 GB internal memory, which could be expandable up to 128 GB via a microSD card slot. The phone will have a non-removable Li-Pro 3500 mAh battery with fast charging support.
According to some rumors the device was expected to powered by 2.4 GHz Octa Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor bu the company has been postponed it and bring it to Mi Mix 2S smartphone. Xiaomi Mi 7 runs Android 7.1 OS based MIUI 9.2 and is powered by a 3950 mAh battery. It’s a dual SIM device and comes with GPS, Hotspot, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, NFC connectivity options. It’s will be one of the prime phones to get the recently announced MIUI 10 update.
The new smartphone may support wireless charging as the Xiaomi has recently joined the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC). This means that the new Xiaomi MI 7 will support for Qi Standard wireless charging.
Coming to the camera side the device has 16 MP + 16 MP camera shooter with Autofocus, Face Detection, HDR, Panorama Mode, Geo-Tagging, Touch Focus, Digital Zoom, Video Recording.
Xiaomi Mi 7 Release Date
In China, the Xiaomi MI 7 could be priced to Yuan 2999 which according to Indian rupees is Rs 29, 369. The device will be available in Gold, Grey, Silver colours in India. The phone will be available in Spain and other European markets where Xiaomi operates.
