One of the most popular messaging applications not only in Indian but also in other countries “WhatsApp” is about to launch its first digital payment interface in India. With the launch of the digital payment service in India, WhatsApp will give its user the facility to make payments through their own app. With over 200 million users in India alone, the company is planning to move onto this step in coming months.
At the same time, however, it is not clear that what “WhatsApp” will offer to Indian users, but this move is logical & somewhat necessary. For the monetization of its user base, it is finding its own way with more than 12 Billion users. Indian has been experiencing the increment with the use of mobile payment apps since the demonetization decision made by the government last year in an effort to crack down the counterfeit & tax evasion.
WhatsApp has been playing a remarkable role in country’s economy as the app is already used by the customers to sell goods & services like baby clothes, medicines, and craft materials. This thing is becoming more and more popular, so adding an interface for payment can be a big advantage for both customers & WhatsApp.
