UIDAI releases mAadhaar app for Android

mAadhaar App Download: Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), concerned government authority behind Aadhar card services has launched mAadhaar app for Android. It lets users carry your unique identification profile on your smartphone. You can download the app officially through Play Store on your mobile.

mAadhaar apps allows you to e-carry your identification proof and it carries demographic information like name, gender, date of birth and address with the user's photograph. It also has a biometric locking/unlocking feature to secure your personal data.

Once you download the app, you will have to set a password first and then enter your 12 digit Aadhaar card number. You can even Scan your Aadhar card to auto fetch the Aadhar card number. The app will then ask for SMS verification and you get optional locking system.

The app, currently in beta has Time-based One-Time Password (TOTP) feature which replaces SMS based OTP. Other features includes sharing of Aadhar profile through QR code.

To make use of mAadhar app, you will need have to Aadhar card with registered mobile number.

To download the app, visit Play Store and tap on Download. It's the initially release, so it may include few bugs and team will fix the issues in the coming app updates.
