Reliance JIO SIM card

The giants in the telecom and mobile industry would have to face a huge hit on the broadband category once JioFiber broadband services gets launched in the market.

It has been a tough competition in the network sector, especially when Jio introduced its 4G services with free data on mobile as well as the free calling facility within India. There was a huge shift of customers from other popular network brands to Jio, with only such benefits that was rolled out by Jio six months back.

Now Reliance under Jio brand is planning for another hard hit on its competitors and this time it is the field of broadband. Jio is going to ‘fire the crackers’ in the aspect of broadband launch this Diwali. Sources also state that the testing for 100 Mbps was done by JioFiber in September last year in some cities. Currently, its services are being tested out in cities like Chennai and Mumbai. The permission to get into the gated colonies is anyways a strong challenge which it has to face.

Jio’s broadband comes with a JioMedia share device, a smart set up box, and routers along with the Power Line Communication devices. These are some facilities provided under this service in order to compete with the competitors and also to win the game in the broadband sector as it did in the mobile network.

As per the Twitter handle of Jio, which tweeted “The JioFiber Preview Offer has currently being launched in select areas of Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Ahmedabad, Jamnagar, Surat and Vadodara? Our network is in the process of being rolled out to other cities.”

The earlier report was that the launch would be done in the month of June, however, the reports have changed now to being done on September. To overtake the competitors like Airtel, who seems to be the most competitive service in the current market, JioFiber has come up with some of the ‘least payable plans.

JioFiber is launching 100 GB data for Rs. 500, which is for the fixed lines at your homes. As per the sources, the services are to start from Rs. 500 for 600 GB data and for 1000 GB data at 100 Mbps speed.
