Reliance JioPhone 2 Launched with Monsoon Hungama Offer

At the Annual General Meeting of Reliance Infocomm Akash and Isha Ambani has officially launched JioPhone 2. It’s an upgraded version of the previously launched JioPhone and comes up with more advanced features that are not found on it’s predecessor.

Going through the Reliance JioPhone 2 specs, the device comes with a 2.4 inch display (320 x 240 pixels) on top of the QWERTY keypad(T9 keyboard) and a 4 way navigation key. The phone runs on KAI OS.

Among the most talked JioPhone 2 features includes the support for WhatsApp, the most used social messaging app. It also brings out the support for watching the YouTube easily through the app pre-installed. It also brings Facebook app pre-installed on the device. JioPhone 2 Booking Date starts very soon. This phone could easily out number Airtel A40 and other JioPhone alternatives.

Quite interestingly the device in includes a 2 mega pixel rear camera and a VGA front facing camera. It has 512 MB RAM and comes with expandable 4 GB inbuilt memory supporting expansion up to 128 GB using micro SD card.

It’s backed by a 2000 mAh battery and comes with CAT4 LTE modem providing a download speed up to 150 MBbps. Further the device boosts connectivity options like NFC, VoLTE, VoWiFi, Wi-Fi, aGPS.

The JioPhone 2 Price in India is said to be Rs. 2,999. You can even exchange your old JioPhone for the new upgraded variant by paying Rs 501.

The JioPhone 2 booking starts from August 15. The company targets 100 million JioPhone users. The same date the registrations for the Jio Giga Fiber broadband services begins through MyJio app or directly through the website.

Apart from that Mukesh Ambani said that the JioPhone Monsoon Hungama offer will start from July 21st (exchange of old phone with a new one).

Further at the AGM, Reliance also launched Jio GigaFiber the much-awaited fiber to the home broadband services.

So, it’s another cloudburst for other mobile operators in India like Airtel, Idea, and Vodafone which are struggling to get new subscribers.
