After launching Oppo F3 Plus and Oppo F3 in India successfully, the Chinese smartphone vendor which manufactures selfie-centric phones is gearing to launch a new device. Dubbed as Oppo A77, the phone is expected to launch soon in Taiwan in May end followed with a launch in other Asian countries where Oppo operates.
As per ePrice, the Oppo A77 is an upgraded model to last year launched Oppo A57. It is expected to sports a 5.5-inch full HD 1920 x 1080 pixels display, a slight increase from its predecessor.
Under the hood, the A77 will be powered by a MediaTek MT6750T chipset assisted with 4 Gigs of RAM for smooth multi-tasking. It has 13 megapixel primary camera on the rear side with LED flash and 16-megapixel front-facing camera for selfie enthusiasts but sadly it doesn’t have dual selfie camera set-up like the F3 and F3 Plus but still, the 16 mega pixel shooter on the front is great for selfies.
From the connectivity front, it has features like Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi tether, Bluetooth v4.0, GPS, USB OTG and dual SIM with dual standby connectivity with 4G VoLTE support.
It draws juice from a 3200 mAh non-removable battery and runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow based ColorOS version 3.0.0i. It’s expected to launch by the end of the month and will be available in the first week of June.
In Taiwan, the device costs NTD 10,990(US $365) and for pre-order from May 19 with availability from May 26. Availability outside Taiwan is not known yet.
