HMD Global has introduced Nokia 1 smartphone in India after it was announced a month back at Mobile World Congress (MWC 2018) at Barcelona, Spain. Unsurprisingly, this becomes the second Android Oreo Go OS phone to be launched in India after Lava introduced Z50 last week.
Worldwide the Nokia 1 happens to be the first Android Go phone along with ZTE Tempo Go. These Android Oreo aka the Android Go phones runs on the latest software version with low internals as well and this mobile software is optimized to run smoothly on the low internals as well.
Going through the Nokia 1 specifications, the smartphone sports a 4.5 inches display with 854 x 480 pixels FWVGA IPS display. Under the hood, the newest Nokia Android Go phone is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6737M processor coupled with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB inbuilt memory. There is ofcourse a micro SD card slot which supports expansion up to 128 GB in size using a micro SD card.
It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo Go Edition version and includes Dual SIM with dual standby. The phone has 5 mega pixel rear camera with LED flash and 2 mega pixel front facing camera.
From the connectivity front, it has 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n (2.4GHz), Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS. It’s backed by a 2150 mAh battery.
Nokia 1 price is said to be Rs 5499 in India. It will be available in Warm Red an Dark Blue colors and the company has also made available the Xpress-on covers starting at a price of Rs. 450 with availability in Pink, Grey, Yellow, and Azure colors.
The phone also includes cashback of Rs 2200 from Reliance Jio which brings the effective price down to Rs. 3299. It also provides 60 GB of additional data too.
