LG Mobiles has officially announced X Venture smartphone, the latest Android smartphone in the ‘X Series’. Launched ahead of Galaxy S8 Active, it’s a rugged smartphone with IP68 water, dust and shock resistance. It always resistant to extreme temperatures as received 14 MIL-STD 810G certification. It’s so tough that you can take the device anywhere, even use it for photos under water – can withstand 30 minutes under 1.5 meters depth or play with at beach without any worry.
LG X Venture has three physical buttons below the front display, which according to LG works in all conditions. You can operate it using your gloves, thanks to GLOVES Mode. The Home button integrates fingerprint sensor for advanced security.
Most of the rugged smartphone are with low internal specifications but LG has ensured that it competes with rival’s Galaxy S8 Active in all department. It has 5.2 inch full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.
Under the hood, LG X Venture is powered by an Octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor coupled with 2 GB LPDDR3 RAM and 32 Gigs of in-built storage. It’s a single SIM handset with 4G VoLTE connectivity and a dedicated microSD card slot.
In terms of optics, we have 16 mega pixel rear camera with LED flash and 5 mega pixel front facing camera with 120-degree wide angle lens. It’s powered by a non-removable 4100 mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0.
X Venture will go on for sale first in United States through AT&T priced at $11 a month for 30 months or $330 outright (approximate Rs 21,000) with availability in Brown and Black color. It will be also available in Europe, Asia, Middle East, Africa and Latin America in coming weeks.
