Lava Z50, First Android Go Phone in India Launched at Rs. 4400

Lava Mobiles has announced latest Z50 smartphone, the first Android Oreo (Go Edition) smartphone to launch in India.

Talking about the Android Go phones, earlier Nokia 1 and ZTE Temp Go phone were launched. Officially this is the third Android Go phone.

This Z50 phone mocks Xiaomi’s Redmi 5A aka ‘Desh Ka smartphone’ after it gets a tag as ‘Mera Pehla Smartphone’. This phone is effectively priced at Rs 2400 after Rs.2000 cashback.

Going through the Lava Z50 specifications, the phone is with 4.5-inch 854 x 480 pixels touchscreen FWVGA display and has got 2.5D Curved glass with Gorilla Glass protection on top preventing it from normal wear and tears.

Under the hood, the Lava Android Go phone is powered by 1.1 GHz clocked MediaTek MT6737M quad-core processor with Mali T72 GPU and coupled with 1 GB of RAM with 8 GB of inbuilt storage. That storage is optimized because Android Oreo version will not consume much space. Further, the storage can be expanded using a micro SD card, supporting up to 128 GB of storage.

The phone runs on Android 8.1 (Oreo) Go edition and it’s backed by a 2000 mAh Lithium-ion non-removable battery.

Coming to the optics, the Lava Z50 phone is with 5 mega pixel rear camera with LED flash and 5 mega pixel selfie camera with includes LED flash too. The device has dimensions 135 × 66.6 × 9.7 mm and weighs 140 grams.

From the connectivity front, it’s a dual SIM handset supporting 4G VoLTE connectivity, Bluetooth v4.0, aGPS, and Wi-Fi features.

Lava has included two years warranty on the device and comes with exclusive partnership with Airtel offering Rs. 2000 cashback.

Lava Z50 Price:

The Lava Z50 price is set to Rs. 4400 and will be available in Black and Gold colors from Flipkart, Amazon and Snapdeal online. The phone will also be available at one lakh retail stores in India.
