The start-up backed by Tony Fadell, Keyssa, a device connection start-up has joined hands with Foxconn and Hon Hai Precision Industry, the parent company of Foxconn in order to announce the new “Connected World” standard.

One of the fathers of Apple iPod and the co-founder of Keyssa, Tony Fadell,  has plans to create a new experience through his company’s noteworthy data transfer concept, “Connected World” wherein a new way for mobile phones to transfer large amounts of data without using the wires or Wi-Fi connections is designed accordingly.

Keyssa has raised more than $100 million from Fadell and the venture arms of Samsung and Intel among others. Keyssa’s own “Kiss” technology is used by “Connected World” to send large amounts of data quickly between individual devices. In other words, the new technology of Keyssa will enable data transfers on the order of gigabits within just a few seconds.

The connector has been made universal, with a single unified software stack that allows it to connect almost any device. It seems to be better than its previous model.

The second generation Kiss chip can not only transfer data between devices fast, but also has the potential to become an unique modular solution for smartphone makers.

The technology targets the removal of the ‘need for cumbersome’ and bulky cable connectors inside devices like phones and laptops, which are growing ever-lighter and thinner.

It has to be noted here, that, last October, along with Intel, Keyssa had brought in a design that could be embedded in so-called two-in-one laptops that involved the feature of detachable touch-screens.

Alliance with Samsung and Foxconn is to create a design for mobile phones.

Shankar Chandran, head of the venture arm at Samsung Electronics, said in a talk on the interview panel, that, “Standards tend to get ecosystems built around them in a fairly complicated way.” He stressed “What’s needed is a bunch of industry players across the value chain saying they’re going to build to that standard. And that’s really what we have.”

Unlike the NFC chip, the Kiss and Connected World is a specially made chip that uses an extremely high-frequency signal for fast data transfer. The signal is not like what’s being used in most modern networks.

Best to be the expectation of the customers, the company has done a revolutionary aspect and we as customers are excited to experience it!
