HTC U12 with 4K Display, IP68 ratings & thin bezels surfaces online

Moving on from their most successful U11 smartphone in some time, HTC, the Taiwanese smartphone giant is now gearing up to release HTC U12 phone. It’s an upcoming HTC phone which will define the HTC 2018 smartphone lineup.

Basically, HTC U12 is something called the flagship HTC phone. Basically, it’s successor to HTC U11+, which didn’t impress much. The reason for its disappointment was due to lack availability in most famous regions, and it didn’t make it to the U.S.

HTC U12 Specs:

A leaked picture of upcoming HTC U12 shows the front of the phone. From the image, it’s clear that the phone is likely to have a very thin bezel and its rumored to come with a 4K display. Just above that, we could see a single front facing camera and since the demand for a selfie is high, it’s most likely to have 13 or 16 mega pixel image sensor with capabilities matching the dual camera smartphones.

Needless to say that it will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 mobile platform which is the latest chipset powering almost all the flagship smartphones in 2018.

And in the image, we don’t see a fingerprint scanner on the front, so it’s highly likely to have it on the rear side.

It’s expected that U12 could feature IP68 certification rating just like the other flagship phones and could possibly have a large battery capacity. The phone is likely to be unveiled at Mobile World Congress (MWC 2018) to be held in the last week of February this year.

HTC U12 Release Date

With the leaked specs, it looks like that HTC is trying to make up for the disappointment of U11+ and we are hoping for a killer smartphone from the Taiwanese smartphone brand.

HTC fans are hoping for the brand to bring back the glory days just like what HMD Global did it with Nokia brand. Perhaps that is likely to happen in 2018. Hope HTC U12 lives up to the expectations.
