In yet another expansion of its business, Facebook has got into the ‘food delivery aspect’ in the United States. Under this, the social network source will enable the users to order food for pick-up or delivery, directly on Facebook. The company launched this on Friday.

Restaurant chains such as Papa John’s and Panera, and on-demand services including Delivery.com and DoorDash, EatStreet, ChowNow and Olo are in the list wherein the orders or anything related to the food delivery can be done through Facebook.

Be it Local spots or national chains, all are connected under one roof called the Facebook so as to make your life easier and comfortable.

Facebook also said it has partnered with restaurants including Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc, Jack in the Box Inc, Five Guys and Papa John’s International Inc.

The shares of Facebook were up nearly 1 percent in early trading on Friday. Interestingly, Shares of food order and delivery service GrubHub Inc dropped nearly 3 percent.

The said feature was in testing from last year and now is rolled out in the United States on desktop, iOS and Android applications, with new partners.

Facebook food order and delivery steps:

The Order Food section in the Explore menu, helps you to browse the restaurants near you, similar aspect is also seen in the ‘Google’s search concept’. This page allows you to browse food options and select ‘Start Order‘ when you find the destined spot to order.

People are on the Facebook checking this feature and wanting to know more about the same. Facebook as a company is always on its toe to understand the market from the customer’s point of view like any other successful business empire.

With services such as money-transfer, business services and ride-hailing available from its main application or messaging services, Facebook is planning to keep the user busy on its platform and perform the tasks required so that the user need not wander around.
