Everything to know about the Hyderabad Metro Rail

The Prime minister, Narendra Modi on Tuesday inaugurated the Hyderabad metro rail along with Telangana chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao on Nov 28, 2017. The inauguration had taken place in Miyapur metro station.

The eight Global Entrepreneurship Summit in Hyderabad was held on the same day in the later part of the day on Tuesday, (Nov 28, 2017). The meeting was with advisor to the US President Ivanka Trump.

The service connecting Nagole station to the Miyapur station in the hi-tech city area stretches to 30 km, which is the longest in an Indian metro project.

Apart from the above information. it is stated that the Metro Rail would cover 72km across three corridors: Miyapur to LB Nagar, Jubilee Bus stand to Falaknuma and Nagole to Shilparamam.

It has to be noted that the Hyderabad Metro Rail was set up in 2007 during the tenure of the then chief minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy (before Andhra Pradesh was split).

Devices supported by TSavaari App

The app supports both Android and iOS gadgets. It was TSavaari mobile app has the feature that would help to provide information to the commuters through Metro Rails, TSRTC, and other transport services.

The TSavaari will contain the information of MMTS Metro trains, TSRTC bus, Metro Train timings, fares and other information. The updates about the private and also the public transport would be given that would be a great help. The main intention of the app would help the passengers to get vital information such as fares, stops, timings etc.

The first step would be to – visit the Google Play Store or iOS App Store to download TSavaari app. Once this is done, the user can ‘search’ for T Savari App. Once this step is completed, the app gets listed below.

The next step would be to click on the install button. The important thing to be noted before installing is to get the confirmation done relating to the space available in the mobile. Post this confirmation, when installed, the TSavaari app gets installed on the mobile. Next, the user can open the app so as to check the features in detail. Again, most important would be to register the app so as to browse the same when needed.

Hyderabad Metro Rail Smartcard will be introduced. Prepaid Card can be accessed by paying an amount of Rs.200 for the users. The wait for the benefit such as this one has given way for easy accessibility to metro train transport and people can now travel through it with less strain.

Hyderabad Metro Fare

Cost involved for the Metro Rail is Rs. 14,132 crore. The starting Hyderabad metro fare, for a distance of up to 2 km, has been fixed at Rs. 10 while the maximum fare, for more than 26km, is Rs 60.

According to the news published in Telangana, if passengers stay more than 90 minutes in Metro Station Premises. Also, passengers will have to pay Rs 10 per hour. The penalty for ticketless travel will be Rs. 50 plus maximum fare.

Again, the token issued will be valid for 120 minutes. However, the passenger can return the token within 30 minutes after purchasing it.

Senior Official from HMRL said that passengers should follow rules to avoid inconvenience and penalties.

Hyderabad Metro Smart card:

Information also details that, the Smart Card which values Rs. 200 which includes a deposit of Rs. 100 and store value of Rs. 100. Whenever the passenger returns the card, Rs. 80 will be refunded after deducting admin fee of Rs. 20. However, store value is non-refundable.

A passenger can store a maximum of Rs. 3000 in the card which can be recharged through TSavaari app, Paytm, HMR passenger website and Add value machine. The validity of the card is 365 days.

So after being one of the clean rail stations on board, it is now Hyderabad Metro Rail that has acclaimed popularity through its innovation so more on its way hopefully from Hyderabad.
