ASUS Zenfone 5Z Launched in India; Takes on OnePlus 6

ASUS has officially launched Zenfone 5Z smartphone in India. This phone was introduced at Mobile World Congress (MWC 2018) and comes a month after launch in the United States market. It primarily takes on OnePlus 6 smartphone.

Going through the ASUS Zenfone 5Z specs, the device comes with a 6.2 inch IPS display with Full HD+ resolution and a top-notch design just like iPhone X.

Under the hood, the latest Asus ZenFone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform out of the box and it’s the cheapest smartphone running with this chipset. Further, it includes 8 GB of RAM and runs on ZenUI 5.0 based on Android 8.0 Oreo.

Coming to the optics, the ZenFone 5Z includes a 12 mega pixel rear camera with Sony IMX363 sensor, plus we have support for OIS, Dual Pixel PDAF (1.4μm pixel size, f/1.8 aperture, 0.03s Tri-Tech auto-focus) and a 8 mega pixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture using OV8856 sensor with 83-degree wide-angle lens.

It’s backed by a 3300 mAh battery with ASUS BoostMaster fast charging and AI charging support.

The ASUS Zenfone 5Z Price is set to Rs 29,999 in India for the 6 GB RAM with 64 GB storage model and 128 GB costs Rs. 32,999. There is also 8 GB RAM with 256 GB storage costing Rs. 36,999.

It will go on for sale from July 9th through Flipkart in Midnight Blue and Meteor Silver color variants.
