Not more than a month of introducing new products, Apple Inc. has again come out with a release of iOS 11.0.2 update in order to fix crackling earpiece issue during phone calls and FaceTime calls on iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus.
Today Apple has released a new software update to iOS 11 operating system, iOS 11.0.2. The release comes after a week of release of iOS 11.0.1 and two weeks after the release of the hot new version of iOS 11 to the public, unveiled at Apple September 2017 event.
The cause for the crackling issue of earpiece was not clear, however, it was speculated to be a software problem. Again, even on affected iPhones, the earpiece seemed to work normally in most circumstances. But during calls, the earpiece could occasionally produce a high-pitched static or crackling noise. It was faint but annoying.
The iOS 11.0.2 update is available for downloaded via over-the-air(OTA). To access the update, go to Settings –> General –> Software Update. Make sure that you have an Active Internet/Wi-Fi connection. It costs 286.8 MB and it’s been rolled-out to qualifying Apple devices.
This particular update was decided to be on board with the feedback from the users that described as “very annoying” in late September. The affected users, resorted to by avoiding the static sound by using the headphones or the speakerphone function, as changing cellular settings and resetting the device was of no great help.
Again, the current update released today addresses an issue that could cause some photos to become hidden apart from fixing an email bug.
In other words, the issue related to iOS 11 operating system serves as the following solution:
Fixes an issue where crackling sounds may occur during calls for a small number of iPhone 8 and 8 Plus devices –
– Addresses an issue that could cause some photos to become hidden
– Fixes an issue where attachments in S/MIME encrypted emails would not open, a great relief for the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus users.
iOS 11 is regarded as a vital update to iOS operating system that introduces a redesigned Lock screen experience, a new customizable Control Center, a more natural Siri voice, a redesigned App Store, new HEVC and HEIF codecs for better photo and video efficiency, and an entirely overhauled interface for the iPad.
