Apple reveals new sets of Emojis with the iOS 11.1 update

Apple has come out with a set of new emojis with iOS 11.1, which is now rolling-out for qualifying devices. Sometime back Google had come up with a new set of emojis on board to entice the audience.

The constant message contact with each other will now have a surprise of the new emoji list on the Apple’s platform. The news was revealed on Friday by the company that stated that the same would be for the iOS 11.1, even though the release date of the OS is yet to be revealed by the company. This update comes to a couple of days after the iOS 11.0.2 release.

Apple said, the new emoji will debut in next week’s developer and public beta previews of iOS 11.1, and then be available in upcoming software updates for iOS, macOS and watchOS. Also, the emojis that Apple is introducing are part of Unicode 10.

Emojipedia, is the source for all the emoji information, the final list of the number is yet to be confirmed. It is said that the emoji release would include “more emotive smiley faces, gender-neutral characters, clothing options, food types, animals, mythical creatures, and more”.

The emojis also are streamlined as Woman with Headscarf, Person Climbing, Bearded Person, Elf, Merperson, Vampire, Fairy, Orange Heart, Person in Lotus Position, Woman Climbing, Person in Steamy Room, Woman Zombie, Man Zombie, Mage, Child, Adult, Palms Up Together, Person in Lotus Position, as well as new food items such as Sandwich and Coconut. Apart from all these some of the usually used affection-based gestures are also on the list.

Not to forget, WhatsApp had recently released a set of new emojis which is finding its way over the messages already.It is available in WhatsApp beta for Android and looks like Apple’s emojis resemble these.

Based on Apple’s preview done on a couple of emojis on World Emoji Day which is marked on July 17,  the list includes new animals like T-Rex, Zebra and also the Star-Struck and Exploding Head smiley faces emojis. This means a sum total of 51 icons were approved by Unicode Consortium.

Food emojis like Dumpling, Boroccoli, Fortune Cookie, Canned Food are also part of iOS 11.1 software update.

This update is now rolling out to iPhone X, iPhone 8 and other qualifying iPhone, iPad devices.
