Mumbai Indians beat Kolkatta Knight Riders in the second play-off to enter into IPL 2017 final. It was a clinical performance by Mumbai Indians who topped the points table in the league game.
Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to field at relaid M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. Just like last match here(Eliminator), where defending champions Sunrisers Hyderabad were choked, nearly same thing repeated as Kolkatta couldn’t produce a competitive total.
Kolkatta were outdone in the first seven overs as they lost first five wickets for 31 runs. Suryakumar Yadav and Ishank Jaggi revived the inning by adding 56 runs partnership. It was more of a batting collapse for Knight Riders as they lost wickets in bulk. Karn Sharma was pick of the bowler as he picked up career best figure, 4 for 16. Bumrah also picked up three important wickets as KKR were all-out for 107.

In the chase, Kolkatta struck back to reduce Mumbai to 34 for 3 but Rohit Sharma and Krunal Pandya ensured that their team gets over the line without any surprises. Karn Sharma was awarded ‘Man of the Match award’ for his match-winning bowling figures.
The Vivo Indian Premier League 2017 final takes place between Mumbai Indians and Rising Pune Supergiant on 21st May at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad. Tickets for the final IPL game is available for purchase on Bookmyshow.com.
Mumbai lost the first play-off against Rising Pune Supergiant and had to go through second-playoff to fancy their chances for the IPL 2017 title. Quite surprisingly, in all the three MI vs RPS encounters, RPS have won all the games.
