Abhay Deol in the spotlight by the media people for his voice against the A-list celebs, who have endorsed a fairness cream. Through his Facebook fan page, he directly encountered Shahrukh Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Illeana D’Cruz, Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor, John Abraham, Vidya Balan, and others for advertising the fairness cream and building up racism in our country.
Following the posts of Abhay Deol, even Kangna Ranaut came up with a slap to the high profile actors and joined the club of fighters against the skin colour discriminators. Kangna has refused to endorse such creams even though she was offered a lucrative payment. Also, the top actors Ranbir Kapoor and Randeep Hooda have also said NO to fairness creams endorsement. Randeep said, “He don’t want to set a bad example for his fans and he is happy in turning out the deal”. Ranbir Kapoor did not want to promote fairness creams because he was in the obsession with the skin colour which is rising at a high speed in India.
Just after the comment from Tarun Vijay “how living with South Indians, when they are black, proves that racism is not present”. This remark turned out to be a tight slap to the South Indians and they passed on sarcastic remarks in reply. Why these statements and remarks are still persisting? It is because the charm and desperation of getting fairer skin are yet inside many of us.
